Artist-a-Day / Jennifer Cronin is Norman Rockwell of 21st-century

Motif of her works is realities of people's everyday life which are often hidden.  Some parts of your personal matters that you don't realy show to other people.  They are very realistic and humorous.  Her works remind me of works of Norman Rockwell who was one of the most famous 20th-century American painter and illustrator and lived between 1894 –1978.  His illustrations depict lives of American people at the time.  I really like his works, so it caught my eyes when I first saw Jennifer's work on Artist-a-Day site.  And I went to her web site and saw all the other her works, then I was covinced that she is Norman Rockwell of 21st-century.

My character sketches

I designed this character based on a French bulldog which My family have in Japan.  His name is "Mame".  He is very energetic and cheerful.  He always cheered me up and I got power from him when I was sad and depressed.  So, I made this character hoping that people are going to get a lot of power when they see him.
